FEATURES:
- Here we have a decantation tank divided into 8 independent cells. These cells receive the flow of water from the mill scale. (tarugos) and the Steelworks. When designed, no way of constant and/or periodic cleaning was considered. After 3 years old, these are saturated. We are cleaning with Clam shell and a “sucker” truck, where it is necessary to use water jets and hand tools such as hoes. They are thinking about a project to place a system with Clam shell on rails. We know that this equipment is very dirty and requires labor to operate.. I have been thinking about using a screw conveyor in each cell, doing the transport (timer, due to the production of scale) of scale/mud to a bucket positioned on rails and therefore, in conditions to be lifted and loaded by appropriate truck. In this way, we would not have manpower for operation. One doubt remains: how much material (weight, height) it is possible to decant onto the conveyor without impeding its operation: I think of it submerged in mud/scale and periodically it will work automatically and drag the material. The density of the material reaches (I believe), in aqueous medium, 1500Kg/m³. The cell has 6(Width)x12(length)x3.99m(height). the carrier would be in a horizontal direction of 12m or vertical direction of 3.99m (maximum dirt height. Cleaning periodically, it is exactly so that the level remains well below that). I believe that vertically the weight on the carrier is less than horizontally and it is a cheaper project. I would like to discuss this with someone, mainly with a specialized manufacturer
