Usually each new version of CAD programs is preceded by a beta version.. The idea is to allow users to try out the new features and get to know their opinion through feedback, to launch the official version. With SolidWorks it's no different!
SW version download is now available 2013 beta! Although, beta programs for Solidworks are only open to customers with an active service subscription agreement.
To download the new version, register by creating an account on customer portal or update your registration data in your account settings. To participate in the program and access the download, select in your account the field "Notify me of Beta Programs".
Heads up: The Program cannot be installed on computers running Windows XP or lower.!
