Security company ESET discovered that a virus called ACAD/Medre. The pest was stealing thousands of information from companies and sending it to servers in China, according toTelegraph.
Malware found running alongside AutoCAD, widely used by industrial designers and architects. The information stolen was being sent to email accounts by two Chinese companies, although, ESET claims not to know if the criminals behind the blow are really Chinese.
"This represents a serious case of industrial espionage", said researcher Righard Zwienenberg, DA ESET. "All projects are automatically sent to the malware operator", continued.
According to ESET, The Chinese government collaborated with the investigation and elimination of the virus. Chinese authorities helped to trace the path taken by the stolen information to the final recipient, blocked.
