LM335 and RoHs Directive

The LM335 is a sensor of temperature integrated that works as a constant voltage source. It produces a tension, V, which is proportional to the absolute temperature, within your range of use (~ -40°C a 100°C). These temperature controllers use the voltage (V) to determine the nominal temperature, Tn, by the formula:
Tn = (V / (10mV / K)) - 273,15

This sensor model is accurate and easy to calibrate, with voltage output, as seen, at a linear rate of +10mV/°K.
This component has advantages over other integrated circuits of its kind due to its versatility.:
· Works with a single voltage source that can come from a lithium cell (special type of battery);
· Easy calibration;
· Operates at a very low current (between 400uA and 5mA).

The RoHS directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive, Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances), aims to reduce the amount of industrial waste and the hazardousness of the components, i.e, ban the use of certain harmful substances, encourage the reuse of equipment and the recovery of its waste and determine proper management, trying to improve the effectiveness of environmental protection.
